Iris

The word Iris means rainbow. Iris is the flower of the Greek goddess Iris who is the messenger of Love. In the language of flowers Iris symbolizes eloquence. Irises come in many colors such as blue and purple, white and yellow, pink and orange, brown and red, and even black. Aquilegia.

Aquilegia ( columbine) is a genus of about 60-70 species of perennial plants . The name Aquilegia is derived from the Latin word for eagle (aquila), because the shape of the flower petals which resemble an eagle’s claw. In many towns in Sardinia (Italy)  there is a vast amount of street art, true open-air masterpieces gifted to us by the talents of the artists, some famous, some completely unknown.In these towns the walls serve as a collective memory for the community, expressing the personality and character of the people.This street art is photographed in San Sperate, near Cagliari, the most important city of Sardinia (Italy).
