Santorini : The ChurchesSantorini’s churches are defined by anonymous vernacular architecture . The island has over 600 churches and chapels. These are simple, square edifices, mostly done in a sparse white. Without any particular ornamentation. Churches forman integral part of the island architecture with different typologies and influences evident. The churches and the chapels of Oia are white and blue domed in general .
