Sardinia (Italy). Beaches

Opposite the islands of Piana and Asinara, near Stintino, the paradise beach of La Pelosa dominates the landscape with the whiteness of its beach and the transparency of its waters. At the foot of Capo Falcone stretch the beaches of fine white sand and waters with chromatic hues from turquoise to blue. To the north they are enclosed by the tower of La Pelosa, an imposing seventeenth-century construction that towers over the seashore.

Jacaranda

Jacaranda is a genus of 49 species of flowering plants in the family Bignoniaceae, native to tropical and subtropical regions of Central America, South America, Cuba, Hispaniola, Jamaica and the Bahamas.Several species are widely grown as ornamental plants throughout the subtropical regions of the world, valued for their intense flower displays.In my city, Cagliari (Italy), there are many examples of this remarkable plant . Blue

This is my blue. Blue was a favourite colour of the impressionist painters, who used it not just to depict nature but to create moods, feelings and atmospheres.In Vincent van Gogh’s Irises, the blue irises are placed against their complementary colour, yellow-orange.Van Gogh wrote to his brother Theo, “‘Cobalt [blue] is a divine colour and there is nothing so beautiful for putting atmosphere around things .(Source Wikipedia)Iris photographed in Florence during the exhibition of Iris.   .          ..Photo © Daniela Serra 2016 – All Rights Reserved
