Roses

A rose is a woody perennial flowering plant of the genus Rosa, in the family Rosaceae, or the flower it bears. There are over a hundred species and thousands of cultivars. They form a group of plants that can be erect shrubs, climbing or trailing with stems that are often armed with sharp prickles. Flowers vary in size and shape and are usually large and showy, in colours ranging from white through yellows and reds. Most species are native to Asia, with smaller numbers native to Europe, North America, and northwestern Africa. – Wikipedia

Italian Super Moon

”A supermoon is a new or full moon closely coinciding with perigee – the moon’s closest point to Earth in its monthly orbit. An astrologer, Richard Nolle, coined the term supermoon over 30 years ago. The moon is full, or opposite Earth from the sun, once each month. It’s new, or more or less between the Earth and sun, once each month. And, every month, as the moon orbits Earth, it comes closest to Earth. That point is called perigee. The moon always swings farthest away once each month; that point is called apogee.” – WikipediaAll the photos are taken on a cloudy night in Rome, Italy, November 2016

Black flowers

There are flowers that have the color of the night … as this pansy  but also cosmos, dahlias, hellebores, lilys, tulips… Black flowers are mysterious and elegant. In reality there are no truly black flowers – most are very dark shades of purple or red.  They symbolise power, mystery, elegance, farewell and goodbye.    .    Photo © Daniela Serra – All Rights Reserved

Sardinia (Italy). Asinara island.

Situated in the territory of the Porto Torres municipality (SS), the Asinara island is one of the most spectacular islands on the Mediterranean as it has kept its naturalistic charm unaltered over the years. Its long history as a penal colony, in fact, ensured that the number of visitors was kept to a minimum, therefore preserving its natural environment. It has been a national park since 1997 and one of the best destination for short cruises along its coast.Source : http://www.sardegnaturismo.it/en/point-of-interest/asinara-0Photo © Daniela Serra 2016 – All Rights Reserved
