Nasturtium

A Nasturtium … by the color red.I like to cultivate these flowers in my terrace. They are very generous flowers and abundant blooms.  Even their round leaf is very beautiful.   “Tropaeolum majus” (garden nasturtium) is a flowering plant in the family Tropaeolaceae, originating in the Andes from Bolivia north to Colombia. It is widely cultivated, both as an ornamental plant and as a medicinal plant. All its parts are edible. The flower has most often been consumed, making for an especially ornamental salad ingredient  .   .   .  Photo © Daniela Serra 2016 – All Rights Reserved
